My Secret, shhhhhh don’t tell anyone…

As parents, we all want our kids to be healthy and happy. One way to insure both is to make sure our kids eat well and get good exercise.  So, what do we do if we don’t have time to sneak cooked squash into homemade brownies or carpool the kids to after school sports activities five days a week?

My secret is inexpensive and it works… I give my kids whole food nutrition in the form of fruits and vegetables in a chewable. And my kids think they are treats! And they are free!

How do I do it? I buy Juice Plus for myself, because even though I eat well, I definitely don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables in a day. And I get Juice Plus for free for three years for each child with an adult purchase. The Children’s Health Study allows us to track our children’s health via a voluntary survey to determine whether (and how) the child’s health habits have changed as a result of taking Juice Plus.  So, I can see the changes in my own children and then I can see the effects of Juice Plus on children all over the world. I recommend Juice Plus to all of my clients and friends, because I know that Juice Plus is one of the most researched supplement companies, has top doctors that recommend it and my favorite thing is…you get RESULTS!

Here is what one of my friends said: “My kids eat more fruits and vegetables willingly. In fact, they ask for fruits and vegetables as snacks – I don’t even have to cook them. The newest trend in my house is that the kids want raw veggies dipped in ranch dressing. They also tend to drink a lot more water – and when they ask for juice, they like it watered down much of the time. They rarely get sick and we go to the doctor so infrequently, that I often find it has been more than a year since the children have been for their physicals. They used to have ear infections and colds all the time, so this is definitely an improvement!” Shifra Ahlers – Busy working Mom

As for the exercise piece, I’m a personal trainer, and I am passionate about helping people get fit. How do I “train” my kids? I walk with them, run with them, chase them, and let them chase me. This keeps all of us active and gives us something to laugh about when we get time to play together.  I am so committed to this model for getting kids healthy, I started a non-profit called The Children’s Fitness Foundation (CFF). Through The Children’s Fitness Foundation, I help children and their parentsnationwide get good exercise and nutrition. All the kids enrolled in CFF get Juice Plus and two to four classes per week of training that involves fitness exercises and nutritional counseling – so they can take what they learn and apply it in their own families. With these small steps, we are helping kids be happy and healthy, helping them make good decisions, and changing lives.
